Senior Associate, Content Editor

Capital One Financial Services - Auto is seeking a Senior Associate, Content Editor for its Auto Navigator product. In this dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will prepare editorial content for publication to our Auto Learning Center, home to our extensive library of expert car reviews and car-buying and car-ownership advice.

A successful Content Editor will be passionate about consumer-friendly automotive content. Responsibilities include ensuring freelance-writer content adheres to our established standards and guidelines, and for communicating issues with appropriate points of contact. Line editing, fact-checking, image prep, and consulting with our internal SEO/GEO experts will be part of your daily routine.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Edit car reviews, automotive consumer advice, and other feature content

  • Work with our contributing content agencies to ensure continuous qualitative feedback

  • Assist with strategic planning for future content

  • Assist with local video/photo shoots

Ideal Candidate/Additional Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to contribute to multiple workstreams and projects within a cross-functional team

  • Willingness and ability to engage and strategize with team members in a collaborative, communicative manner

  • A professional understanding of SEO/GEO principles

  • Experience editing multiple content types

  • Talent for translating complex automotive mechanical and technology concepts for the average car shopper

  • Enthusiasm for AI workstreams

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Experience with digital photography and Adobe Photoshop

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

  • At least 3 years of writing and editing as part of an editorial staff

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in journalism, communications or related field

  • 5+ years of writing and editing as part of an editorial staff at an automotive media outlet

  • 1+ year of experience working on automotive agency accounts or automotive companies

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Plano, TX: $86,000 - $98,200 for Sr. Associate, Marketing

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
