Position Title: Plastic-Injection Molding / Cast Set Up

Wage: $20-$26/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 1pm-9pm Monday through Friday

QPS Employment Group is hiring for a Plastic-Injection Molding / Cast Set Up role for a company in Oconomowoc, WI. This is an associate to hire opportunity.

Plastic-Injection Molding / Cast Set Up Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Machine setup

- Robot setup

- Follow instructions from the lead plastic injection processor plant manager and engineering team

- Comply with all safety and regulatory policies

- De-gate and assemble parts as needed

- Package completed parts according to customer requirements

- Monitor inventory of materials and supporting parts to meet deadlines

- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure proper condition of the machine

- Monitor part quality during production checking dimensional and cosmetic features

- Stamp molds with part information clean and store molds appropriately

- Maintain samples of parts that meet specifications

- Dispose of non-quality parts

- Report discrepancies in raw material inventory

- Assist with plant cleaning organization and basic maintenance

- Document relevant customer communications

- Regrind material as needed

- Produce quality molded parts in accordance with work instructions

- Track all raw material used during production

- Inspect parts during assembly and report defects or concerns

- Follow ISO procedures and standards

Plastic-Injection Molding / Cast Set Up Requirements:

- Understanding of ERP principles related to supply and demand

- Working knowledge of plant processes and documentation

- Strong conflict resolution skills and professionalism

- Self-motivated and resourceful with good verbal and written communication

- Physically capable of performing labor intensive work

- Skilled in safe operation and storage of power tools

- Able to work in noisy environments and variable weather conditions

- Organized in space management and material handling

- Able to work with limited supervision

- Proactive and willing to seek answers as needs arise

- Forklift certification required

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Word

- May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions at job sites

- Noise level can be loud

- Must be able to sit balance stoop or kneel

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally

- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

- High school diploma or GED required

- Injection molding certification or relevant experience preferred but not required
