Process Engineer Co-Ops help support daily operations and product development. They perform process definition (PD) audits, file PDs and consult with specialists and engineers on updates as needed. They support troubleshooting efforts by participating in root cause analysis exercises, assisting in trials, measuring cups and analyzing data. Co-Ops participate in continuous improvement projects pertaining to safety, scrap reduction and increased productivity. Support includes brainstorming ideas, creating drawings, getting quotes from machine shops and testing prototypes. Process Engineer Co-Ops work with product development on design reviews by cross-referencing dimensions, collecting and analyzing data, assisting with troubleshooting and providing feedback on process improvements. They will help implement new quality tests including designing fixtures, gauges, and completing Gauge R&Rs. The Co-Ops support training efforts by creating Job Breakdowns and One Point Lessons.

* Support daily operations and product development activities

* Perform process definition (PD) audits, file PDs, and consult with specialists and engineers on updates as needed

* Support troubleshooting efforts by participating in root cause analysis exercises, assisting in trials, measuring samples, and analyzing data

* Participate in continuous improvement projects pertaining to safety, scrap reduction, and increased productivity

* Support project development by brainstorming ideas, creating drawings, obtaining quotes from machine shops, and testing prototypes

* Work with product development on design reviews by cross-referencing dimensions, collecting and analyzing data, and providing feedback on process improvements

* Help implement new quality tests including designing fixtures, gauges, and completing Gauge R&Rs

* Support training efforts by creating Job Breakdowns and One Point Lessons for manufacturing associates

Minimum Qualifications

* Currently enrolled in an Engineering degree program

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

*Good communication skills

* Time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering

* Experience with statistical analysis and data collection

* Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)

* Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)

* Previous internship or co-op experience in manufacturing environment

* Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams

* Knowledge of quality control principles and methodologies
