About the Role

We're seeking a skilled and customer-focused Help Desk Technician to join our IT team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for technical support, helping users resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently and professionally. You'll
play a key role in maintaining operational continuity and delivering a high-quality support experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to help desk requests via phone and ticketing system in a courteous
    and timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues related to hardware, software,
    and networking.
  • Escalate complex problems to appropriate IT staff with thorough documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of support interactions and resolutions.
  • Provide step-by-step guidance to users for common issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance on workstations and peripherals.
  • Contribute to the IT knowledge base by documenting solutions and best
    practices.
  • Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Participate in ongoing training and stay current with technology trends.
  • Provide after-hours on-call support as needed.
  • Support IT security and privacy protocols, including safeguarding sensitive
    information.

Requirements

Qualifications Education:

  • Associate's Degree (Preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Windows 11 and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
  • Experience with Active Directory
  • Basic networking knowledge (LAN, WAN, Wireless, VPN)
  • Mobile device support (smartphones, tablets)
  • Virus and spyware removal tools
  • Printer and hardware troubleshooting

Soft Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
  • Customer service-oriented mindset

Security & Privacy Responsibilities

  • Complete required training and follow all security/privacy policies.
  • Protect sensitive information (PII, PHI, FTI, PCI).
  • Support secure configuration of assets and timely remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor systems for unusual activity and manage external system access.
