Department Summary

Position Overview

The HR Student Assistant (work-study) supports the UNT Dallas Human Resources Team by performing a variety of tasks. This role is centered on providing excellent customer service and actively contributing to the HR Team's operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be enrolled at least Half Time at UNT Dallas
Student must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
Must have a financial need and qualify as Work-study eligible

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to provide excellent customer service
Ability to work independently with basic functions in Microsoft Office applications
Skill in organizing projects and work responsibilities
Skill in oral and written communication
Knowledge of computers and basic software programs
Ability to maintain confidential information

Job Duties:



  • % - Assist with various HR projects - (Essential)
  • % - Greet visitors, answer incoming calls, relay messages - (Essential)
  • % - Assist with scheduling and corresponding to emails - (Essential)
  • % - Provides general office support - (Essential)
  • % - Perform other HR duties as assigned - (Essential)

  • Lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
