Job Summary:

Performs the daily activities of office services functions, such as space allocation, office moves, leasehold improvements, renovation activities, food services management, reproduction, telephones, micrographics, communications, mail and shipping, messenger service, travel, records storage, office supplies, furniture and equipment, and miscellaneous services. Participates in the development of new or improved systems and procedures. Receives operational supervision from responsible supervisor. May coordinate and/or direct personnel involved in assigned area of responsibility. May include contacting managers, department/group leads, vendors, suppliers, contractors and counterparts in other offices.

Major Responsibilities:

* Assists in the performance of office services functions, such as office moves, facility operations, security and access control, food services management, reproduction, telecommunications, mail and shipping, messenger service, travel, office supplies, furniture and equipment, and miscellaneous services.

* Performs tasks such as delivering packages or picking up small purchases

* Oversight and maintenance of vehicle(s) in safe, clean, and serviceable condition

* Maintains facilities, files, drawings and plans

* May act as focal point for outside contract driving services

* Coordinates and sets up onboarding of new staff, meetings, project functions; arranging for facilities, equipment, and catering

Education and Experience Requirements:

* Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of related experience

* Must have a valid driver's license

* Must be a U.S. citizen

* Must be able to obtain and maintain a site security badge

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Previous office services experience preferred

* Strong organization skills and proactive problem solver

* Current experience and knowledge of BGCAPP processes, procedures and structure/organization preferred

* Ability to work effectively on a team and as an individual contributor

* Ability to extract, compile and assemble data for the preparation of reports

* Proven capability to multitask while maintain attention to detail and accuracy

* Basic to intermediate skills using Microsoft Access 2010 or later

Project Overview:

Client Parsons Blue Grass is the systems contractor selected by the Department of Defense's Assembled Chemical Weapons Alternatives program to design, build, systemize, test, operate, and close a facility to destroy the chemical weapons stockpile at the Blue Grass Army Depot in Richmond, Kentucky. The Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) will safely destroy 523 tons of mustard and nerve agent in projectiles and rockets. Neutralization is the technology selected by the Department of Defense to destroy the nerve agent, while the Explosive Destruction Technology will be used to destroy the mustard in the Blue Grass chemical weapons stockpile.

Candidates for unescorted access to the Chemical Limited Area must successfully clear National Agency Check with Local Check (NACLC). All employees are subject and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment. Must be physically fit and able to work safely at an operating plant. Eligible applicants must be a US Citizen and successfully go through a government screening process.

This BGAPP position falls under the scope of the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act of 1965 (SCA).
