Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Electrophysiology Team Leader, you will perform specialized radiology procedures related to electrophysiology studies and interventions, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality and radiation safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrophysiology procedures, including catheter ablations and electrophysiology studies, with a focus on quality and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with the Electrophysiology Team Leader, resource nurse, and other team members to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
  • Assist in cross-training staff in electrophysiology protocols and procedures as assigned.
  • Conduct routine checks of radiology and EP laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Participate in projects that support the hospital's mission and values, focusing on the advancement of electrophysiology care.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment that prioritizes patient-centered care and collaboration.

Qualifications

Education: Two year AMA approved program in Radiographic Technology, AS or BS degree

Licensure/Certification: ARRT and BLS required. ACLS required within 18 months of hire.

Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of continuous cardiac cath lab experience preferred.

Working Knowledge: Able to perform at a proficient level all radiology procedures related to the cardiac cath lab in both acute and stable patients. Able to scrub, assist, and perform all other tasks as needed to perform all cases in the cath lab to include electro physiology, pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, and interventions within the scope of practice.
