Summary The Process/Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes by spending lots of time on the production floor studying the current state products & methods and recommending improvements. The Process/Manufacturing Engineer will also manage multiple projects, in varying size, and coordinate the multiple disciplines required to build a timeline and to execute to the project timeline on-time and within budget. The Process/Manufacturing Engineer is also responsible for product structure and maintenance (BOM and labor routing), engineering change management, process improvements, and cost efficiency improvements. Travel Up to 10% travel time may be required. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence as well as be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Reasoning Ability Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Product Development (in-house, soft-ware based MRP), Vault (AutoCAD), Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently walk and sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or listen. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. (50 pounds is the max) Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, except in the manufacturing environment where PPE may be required.
