Position: Mechanical Engineer - Projects Location: On-site in Waterford, WI. Job Type: Full-time Position Overview: The role of the Mechanical Engineer - Projects, you will lead the design, development and maintenance of assigned mechanical projects. You will also research & develop practical solutions that meet customer needs. Key Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as project leader and integral part of specific development or current product maintenance, update projects following product realization process and utilize concurrent engineering principles.
- Consult with internal and external customers, sales and marketing, and manufacturing to formulate product requirements and specifications applying knowledge of customers, products and services to anticipate customer problems and needs. In conjunction with product management document requirements as verifiable deliverables for product development.
- Supply accurate work estimates for assigned projects and tasks that take into account potential barriers and interruptions.
- Demonstrate accountability for completing work assignments to meet agreed upon commitments and deadlines.
- Research and develop practical solutions and products for our customer. Address increasingly complex technical problems and draw upon experience, analytical skills, and creative thinking, to develop solutions.
- Work with test team and technical writing team to aid in the creation of test documentation and user documentation.
- Specify, oversee and perform Research and Development tests with engineering test department personnel.
- Provide customer assistance through problem solving, training and sales assistance.
- Stay current in new developments in the industry.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Bachelors' Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years of experience in practical mechanical design experience and/ or product development and design
- Proficient at SolidWorks CAD Software
- Knowledge of and experience with solving technical problems and draw upon experience, analytical skills, and creative thinking, to develop solutions.
- Oracle experience is considered a plus
