Stanley Consultants is currently seeking a Structural Engineer for our Denver, CO (Centennial) office.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Design buildings and heavy industrial structures in accordance with design codes and standards published by ICC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC.
  • Concrete and structural steel design, including vibration analysis.
  • Use RISA, STAADPro, Mathcad, LPILE and other structural software.
  • Determine client requirements and develop reports, specifications, drawings, instructions, and related documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering estimates and design schedules for projects.
  • Evaluate the need for design changes and communicate appropriate recommendations to project manager or clients.
  • Serve as a technical liaison with clients on project efforts and coordinate technical efforts within discipline areas.
  • Consult with construction personnel on design constructability as related to field conditions.
  • Visit construction sites to monitor progress.
  • Lead multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Develop less experienced members through project task delegation.
  • Conduct QA/QC reviews on structural calculations, specifications and drawings.
Typical Activities:
  • Determining project design requirements and developing calculations, specifications, drawings, instructions, and related documents.
  • Reviewing vendor documents, geotechnical reports, and supporting construction efforts.
  • Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and design schedules for projects.
  • Evaluating the need for design changes and communicating appropriate recommendations to project manager or clients.
  • Serving as a technical liaison with clients on project efforts and coordinating technical efforts within discipline areas.
  • Coordinate the structural work required to complete projects with designers, graphics, other disciplines, and project managers hile maintaining schedules set and budgets established.
  • Consulting with construction personnel concerning design constructability as related to field conditions.
  • Compensated overtime (as needed) to hit project submittals and team workload.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in the design of heavy industrial structures and equipment foundations associated with power generation facilities, in compliance with design codes and standards published by IBC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC.
  • Proficient in concrete and structural steel design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and team members.
  • Software: RISA or STAAD.Pro, Mathcad, LPile or MFAD (optional), AutoCAD, BlueBeam Revu
  • PE License or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

The starting salary for the successful candidate in this position is competitive and will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications and experience, geographic location, internal equity, company policy and practices. Stanley's Approach to Flexibility
While some members choose to work out of their local office on a full-time basis, we offer a hybrid schedule for eligible positions consisting of two days a week in the office, two days a week remotely, and Friday being a flexible day that can be worked either in the office or at home. Eligible roles can also offer a compressed workweek schedule. Members who participate will be assigned a 9/80 work schedule, meaning every other Friday off!
