Senior Risk Assessment Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks related to operational processes and deliverables to CMS
• Assess operational and reputational risks, develop strategies for CMS compliance, and collaborate on risk protocols, monitoring effectiveness and providing regular reports to stakeholders
• Support the Quality Assurance Lead in implementation of risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance team in identifying areas of risks and recommend solutions
• Support Quality Assurance Lead in determination of the risks and issues' appropriate response (i.e., mitigation strategy, contingency plan)
• Collaborate with Task Leads to gather relevant data for risk analysis and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Prepare detailed risk reports and present findings to project leadership, including recommendations for mitigation or remediation
• Proactively recommend solutions for addressing risks before they become issues
• Support Quality Assurance Lead in monitoring and maintaining the Risk and Issue log
• Evaluate each identified risk in terms of its likelihood and impact on overall project goals and task-level objectives
• Support other tasks as needed

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant professional experience, or
• Associates degree plus 8 years of relevant professional experience, or
• High school diploma plus 9 years of relevant professional experience
• 5 years of demonstrated knowledge and experience in risk assessment, internal audit, compliance, or related role
• Understanding of risk assessment methodologies and tools
• Knowledge of federal healthcare regulations, with the most qualified candidates having experience with regulations related to pharmaceutical pricing and compliance with government programs
• Knowledge of the Inflation Reduction Act provisions related to drug pricing and CMS program implementation processes preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $130,000.00.Actual compensation will depend on a range of factors, including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, location, other business and organizational needs, and applicable employment laws. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
