As a Security Officer - Distribution Center - Part Time in Clayton, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment at a logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the facility, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and assisting with access control procedures. Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and loading areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents or hazards observed during patrols.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following location-specific guidelines.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and delivery personnel while maintaining a visible presence throughout the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
