As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a secure environment at a government location. In this dynamic position, you will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible, and interact with staff and visitors to provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. Your presence and professionalism will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere while responding promptly to any incidents or requests for assistance. As this is an armed post, you will be responsible for carrying and maintaining your assigned weapon in accordance with all regulations and company policies. Pay Rate: $20.96 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for armed personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
• Document security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by client site protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activity or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Must possess an Armed Guard Card or License as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
