Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA); Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)

What You'll Do

As an MRI Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care within a dynamic imaging environment. Using advanced clinical judgment and a collaborative approach, you'll help guide patients through every stage of their diagnostic and procedural experience.

Clinical Care & Patient Advocacy

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using evidence-based practice and professional nursing standards.
• Provide expert care for patients undergoing imaging procedures, moderate sedation, and Phase I/II anesthesia recovery.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition, adverse events, and emergent situations.
• Educate and advocate for patients and families, ensuring a safe, informed, and positive care experience.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation to support continuity of care and interdisciplinary communication.

Collaboration, Quality & Safety

• Partner with radiologists, physicians, advanced practice providers, technologists, and nursing colleagues to deliver seamless inpatient and ambulatory care.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
• Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and operational excellence.

Leadership & Professional Development

• Serve as a clinical resource, mentor, and subject matter expert for staff, students, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Support professional growth through coaching, shared learning, and participation in departmental and organizational initiatives.
• Contribute to policy development, process improvement, and achievement of departmental goals.
• May assume leadership responsibilities, including Charge RN, Supervisor, or Imaging Coordinator roles as needed.

Operational Excellence

• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient clinical environment, ensuring equipment readiness and supply availability.
• Identify operational needs and proactively support solutions that enhance patient care, workflow efficiency, and team success.
