Local Non-CDL Delivery Driver

Staffmark Drivers is seeking new talent in West Hartford, CT, and hiring an experienced Local Non-CDL Delivery Driver to join our team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with overtime pay, full benefits, and home daily routes.

Pay:$16.50 per hour + Overtime

Schedule:

• Monday through Saturday
• First and second shift openings (between 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM)
• Must be flexible to work any shift and Saturdays
• Full-time with potential days off during the week

Job Details:

• Local food and wine delivery to restaurants, stores, and hotels
• Must be able to operate a box truck or sprinter van
• Touch freight - drivers will load and unload using a hand truck/dolly
• Must use a handheld scanner and GPS
• Heavy lifting required - up to 75 lbs
• Temp-to-hire position with long-term potential
• Overtime pay available

Job Duties:

• Perform vehicle safety inspections before and after dispatch
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and report any issues
• Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner
• Read and interpret delivery manifests and shipping orders
• Follow company policies and delivery schedules

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months of local delivery driving experience within the last 3 years
• Must be 21 years or older
• Valid driver's license (No CDL required)
• Acceptable MVR and ability to pass pre-employment screening(s)
• Ability to operate a box truck or flatbed
• Able to meet physical demands: lifting up to 75 lbs, repetitive motion, and prolonged sitting
• Exposure to hot/cold temperatures, dust, and noisy conditions
• Use of proper PPE as required
• May involve pushing, pulling, crawling, and upper body strength
