Process Engineer - Plastics Extrusion | West Chester, OH | $95K-$110K

Staffmark is hiring a Process Engineer for a leading manufacturing company in West Chester, OH. If you have experience in plastic extrusion manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement, this is an exciting opportunity to advance your career while leading impactful projects.

Salary: $95,000-$110,000/year

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize plastic extrusion processes to improve quality, reduce scrap, and boost efficiency.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Train and mentor operators and technicians on equipment, troubleshooting, and best practices.
• Lead problem-solving activities, including FMEA, root cause analysis, and process capability studies.
• Manage extrusion-related projects from concept through completion, ensuring timely delivery and cross-functional collaboration.
• Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and drive Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or plastics engineering, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years in plastics extrusion manufacturing with strong knowledge of extrusion principles, polymers, and process control
• Skilled in root cause analysis, FMEA, and process capability studies
• Strong leadership and communication skills to train and engage teams
• Proven project management and analytical skills with a data-driven approach
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment
