 - Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services, and more. 
 
  
 
Responsibilities
 
 
 - Responsible for performance of all diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular examinations.
 - Explains cardiovascular procedure to the patient and / or family member in a thorough and professional manner. 
 - Obtains patient's history prior to cardiovascular procedure.
 - Performs imaging and table side assistance for diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Does not energize or exposes patient to radiation unless credentialed by Texas Department of State Health Services.
 - Operates hemodynamics system, entering patient's demographics, and monitoring, recording, mapping and documenting patient information prior, during and after procedure.
 - Performs stress electrocardiograms providing physician with quality tracings.
 - Adheres to appropriate radiation safety, practicing the concept of As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA). 
 - Serves as patient advocate and ensures patient autonomy. 
 - Enters and retrieves patient information from the Cardiology Picture Archiving Communication System (CPACS) and from the Hospital Information System (HIS) in a proficient manner. 
 - Provides minimal nursing care to patient, ascertaining the patient is comfortable in the department. Establishes IV access. Seeks additional nursing or physician assistance when necessary.
