Physical Therapist Assistants Earn up to $50 per hour, with the pay structure at $12.50 per unit for up to 4 units per hour Position Details: A Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is a registered professional who provides therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of patients' service disorders. Plans coordinated care to patients of all age groups. Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans to restore or maintain patient well-being. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists and other healthcare professionals. Essential functions: Design and administer the therapy treatment plan. Applies concepts of infection control and universal precautions in coordinating/performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease. Accept clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients. Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills; facilitates the use of these skills by other team members to achieve desirable outcomes. Meets mandatory continuing education requirements of the agency/licensing board. Demonstrates commitment, professional growth, and competency.
