We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Consumer Markets Division (CMD) Product Development team on-site in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE. This role follows a hybrid schedule of four days in the office (on-site). You'll play a critical part in executing and improving pricing processes for our fixed annuity, payout annuity, and Registered Index Linked Annuity (RILA) products.

This is a process-driven role where you'll manage recurring tasks, ensure accuracy, and leverage technology to streamline workflows. If you enjoy solving problems, asking better questions, and using data to drive decisions, this role offers the stability and challenge you're looking for.

How you'll help move us forward:

Rate Setting & Process Management

  • Execute recurring rate-setting and re-pricing activities with precision and timeliness.

  • Maintain and enhance Excel-based tools and templates; identify opportunities to automate manual steps.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Risk, and Investments to validate assumptions and ensure alignment.

  • Manage and update data tables, dashboards, and reporting tools (Snowflake, Tableau).

Analysis & Critical Thinking

  • Apply sound judgment to review results, question assumptions, and anticipate competitive dynamics.

  • Translate complex data into clear insights, framing issues and recommending actions that balance risk, profitability, and market positioning.

  • Monitor trends and provide context for rate-setting decisions and business performance.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Build strong relationships across teams to ensure smooth execution of pricing processes.

  • Lead discussions on process enhancements and technology improvements.

  • Support integration of new products into pricing and reporting workflows.

The experience you bring:

  • 4+ years of professional experience in a corporate environment, ideally in financial services.

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or related quantitative field.

  • Advanced Excel skills (including formulas, pivot tables, and VBA); proficiency in Python and SQL preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify patterns.

  • Excellent communication skills-able to explain complex concepts clearly.

  • A mindset for process improvement and automation.

  • Critical thinking and curiosity- comfortable questioning results and assumptions.

  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.

What makes you stand out:

  • Experience with annuity products or life insurance industry.

  • Familiarity with Tableau and Snowflake for data visualization and management.

  • Someone who values stability and is excited to grow in this role for the long term.
