Position Purpose

The Marketing Operations Specialist is focused on analytics supporting customer journey mapping so that marketing has the insights they need to create high quality lead generation. They are data experts and are responsible for making sure the data is flowing properly in the marketing technology stack. They are responsible for the strategy, design, execution and operations of the business's lead management processes and email marketing program through salesforce.com. Role includes establishing an email request process, trafficking all emails, maintaining a schedule, ensuring brand consistency, and managing our list library. They are also accountable for ensuring a warm hand-off of leads to sales through the integration of lead nurturing programs and lead scoring.

Organization Role

This position reports to the Marketing Manager. It has no supervisory responsibilities and requires consistent coordination with marketing managers, sales representatives, and IT. Must be agile and have a passion for data, metrics, and reporting and highly skilled in interpreting information and making recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technical aspects of key marketing systems (marketing automation, CRM) used to generate, distribute, and report on campaigns and leads
  • Establish and maintain scalable processes for email marketing and ensures best practices in lead management and lead scoring
  • Perform analysis of marketing campaigns and leads and produce and maintain related metrics on quality, effectiveness, and revenue generation
  • Create and maintain campaign dashboards in salesforce.com
  • Gather analytics in support of A/B email testing and provide recommendations that enhance future campaign performance
  • Proactively research and make recommendations for new technologies and add-on lead generation applications to the marketing technology stack
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure technology tools/tech stack support marketing's data requirements
  • Traffic and send all the emails handled by marketing
  • Create all marketing landing pages, forms, and email nurture programs
  • Collaborate with marketing managers on any specific emails sales requires and develop nurturing tracks for all core offerings
  • Maintain all marketing lists and own the related processes
  • Manage our webinar program

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Communications or a related field
  • 3-4 years of experience, with the following:
  • Marketing automation systems
  • Salesforce.com
  • Marketing analytics
  • Webinar platforms

  • Experience utilizing technology and automation to streamline marketing processes and scale demand generating programs
  • An ability to deliver results whether working independently or as part of a team
  • Adaptable, resourceful approach to varied duties

  • Works effectively on a team and contributes new ideas
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Can work cross-functionally with various types of teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks, reprioritizing based on needs
  • Detail oriented, this person should be able to catch mistakes and proofread copy before publishing
  • Direct experience with email marketing software (such as Act-On, Eloqua, Marketo, Pardot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MailChimp, HubSpot)
