Position Summary


The Master Scheduler/Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the master production schedule to ensure on-time delivery, efficient resource utilization, and alignment with customer demand. This role serves as a key liaison between Customer Service, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain, balancing demand and capacity while driving data-driven decisions to optimize performance. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, proven experience with SAP, and the ability to act with urgency in a dynamic manufacturing environment.



Key Responsibilities



  • Develop, maintain, and communicate the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacity.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and Sales to translate customer forecasts and orders into executable production plans.
  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure material availability, capacity alignment, and production readiness.
  • Use SAP to manage scheduling, demand planning, and materials requirements; monitor system data accuracy and integrity.
  • Analyze demand and production trends to identify risks, constraints, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide proactive communication to stakeholders regarding schedule changes, delays, or constraints.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and inventory turns.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings to review and adjust production priorities as needed to meet customer expectations.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to provide insights and recommendations for efficiency and process improvement.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in scheduling, planning, and supply chain processes.



Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with SAP (PP/MM modules) and advanced Excel or other data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across multiple departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with MRP, capacity planning, and demand forecasting principles.
