Job Title: Inventory Supervisor


Department: Machinery


Reports To: Inventory Manager



General Purpose of Job


Responsible for raw materials and/or finished part and product inventories as to amount, records, allocation, requisitioning, etc. to maintain sufficient stocks in accordance with a determined program based on orders and forecasts. Maintain a constant audit and cycle count of inventories, actual inventories, shortages, re-orders, materials in process, etc. Cooperate with production control and purchasing departments as to inventory levels, requisitions, and purchase follow up. Assign and manage inventory control team to ensure proper adherence to inventory standards. Requires knowledge of product, component and material identities, manufacturing procedures and relative inventory levels.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Request ship dates or lead times from procurement for out-of-stock items to ensure the meeting of customer delivery requirements.
  • Leads annual physical inventory processes.
  • Ability to lead and maintain a safe working environment in line with Pregis safety standards.
  • Responsible for monitoring team on day-to-day inventory transactional integrity.
  • Investigates inventory discrepancies and escalates issues as needed.
  • Marks and stores parts in warehouse according to prearranged system.
  • Responsible for closing out production orders.
  • Ensuring materials are backflushed correctly.
  • Cycle counts inventory stock.
  • Monitors daily transactions in relation to inventory management system.
  • Creates and maintains daily inventory metrics.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned subject to reasonable accommodations.



Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or similar related field preferred. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, and three to five years related work experience required.
  • Previous management skills preferred.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office platforms. Experienced knowledge using ERP and WMS systems.
  • SAP experience or prior knowledge is a plus but not required.



Language Skills


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintaining instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Spanish speaking is beneficial but not required.
