Georgia-Pacific in Madison, GA is now hiring for a Storeroom Associate to support the team. As a Storeroom Associate at GeorgiaPacific, you'll play a critical role in supporting maintenance, operations, and production by managing inventory, handling parts, and ensuring the storeroom runs efficiently. You will help maintain stock levels, process orders, organize inventory, and support work order fulfillment.

What You Will Do

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming parts, supplies, and materials
  • Issue parts to maintenance and production per work orders
  • Maintain and update inventory records (min/max levels, reorder points)
  • Perform cycle counts and full inventory audits
  • Track and manage slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory
  • Process purchase requisitions, collect packing slips, and assist with vendor coordination
  • Ensure first-in/first-out (FIFO) rotation and proper storage of parts
  • Collaborate with maintenance, procurement, and operations to fulfill parts needs
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized storeroom environment
  • Support continuous improvement and inventory accuracy initiatives
  • Occasionally assist with offbook inventory (OBI) resolution and reconciliation

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • At least 1 year of experience in inventory control, parts management, warehousing, or an industrial environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to organize tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
  • Proven accuracy in handling data, records, or materials, with an ability to identify and resolve discrepancies

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms such as SAP, Ariba, or MP2
  • Background in a manufacturing setting, preferably supporting maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) activities
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement principles, including 6S, Kanban, or lean inventory practices
  • Experience interpreting technical documents such as schematics, equipment manuals, and parts lists
  • Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment
