     | Essential Job Duties | We are hiring a part-time project manager to support an 
       NSF-funded Masters degree program in Biochemistry and related fields. This is a unique program that provides opportunities for low-income Masters degree students to gain research experience and find good jobs in the biotech industry, or continue in the PhD program:
       
 1. Recruit students throughout North Carolina and vicinity to the program. This will include, but not limited to, attending scientific meetings, visiting colleges and universities, and reaching out to various student organizations.
       
 2. Monitor the progress of students during the two years of their Masters program.
       
 3. Assist with organizing and teaching a two week on-boarding program to begin two weeks before fall classes start in August.
       
 4. Maintain the program website and develop online media to advertise the program.
       
 5. Other activities include facilitating student interactions through informal meetings, and organizing a seminar series for incoming first-year students.
