THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Human Services Program Representative 1, you will be involved in conducting on-site surveys and evaluations of both public and private children and youth agencies, analyzing data and allegations of abuse, and ensuring that children in out-of-home placements are protected. You will also be responsible for reviewing and evaluating program contracts and financial reports, as well as providing advice and consultation to ensure that state standards are met. Other responsibilities of this position involve attending meetings with various stakeholders to gather insights, address concerns, and provide updates on the progress of departmental programs. Additionally, you will be responsible for analyzing data and conducting research to inform decision-making processes and improve program effectiveness. Your role will involve collaborating with other departments and agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to addressing community needs and implementing policies. Overall, this position is crucial in shaping and implementing strategies to better serve children, youth, and families in the community.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Location: We are currently located in a temporary office in Pittsburgh, we will be relocating to an office in Butler, Pennsylvania in the future.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 1 day per week after you have shown the ability to complete your work in a timely and efficient manner, and upon recommendation from the supervisor and director. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in the Western Region. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirement:

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
