Security Officer - Shopping Mall Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Bethesda, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols in a retail or mall environment. Your visible presence will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere while you engage with visitors and provide outstanding customer service. This role involves driving responsibilities, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail and mall environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential concerns.
• Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious behavior encountered during patrols.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted activity and provide assistance to patrons and staff.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and law enforcement personnel as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
