What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the educational environment.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
• Monitor for and report suspicious behavior and/or hazards to the appropriate authorities.
• Collaborate with campus personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences during patrols.
• Assist in access control and visitor management, verifying credentials as required.
• Support emergency response efforts and follow established protocols during drills and real incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
