Hiring Now: Maintenance Tech - Southminster (Charlotte, NC)

Pay: Starting at $20/hr. | Type: Full-Time / 8AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, and ONLY One Weekend Every Other Month| Location: Award-winning retirement community in South Charlotte

What You'll Do:



  • Make repairs of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating and cooling equipment
  • Make daily checks of equipment to ensure proper operation
  • Conduct testing of emergency equipment and maintains logs
  • Report on equipment and supplies needed to perform tasks
  • Keeps mechanical rooms clean and in order
  • Other duties as assigned


Basic Requirements:



  • GED, high school diploma or trade school certification.
  • One year of experience in comparable positions
  • Technical knowledge of the following: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating and cooling
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs throughout the day and occasionally up to 100lbs


Desired (But Not Required) Requirements:



  • Experience maintaining building and facility equipment

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have one year of experience in property maintenance, preferably in multi-family, senior community or healthcare environment
  • Must have technical knowledge of the following: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating and cooling
