Your Role on the Team

Under general supervision the incumbent provides administrative and programmatic support to the Department CAO, Vice Chairs, and the Department team. Provides operational analysis, planning, and coordination of a broad range of initiatives for the Department. Creates and analyzes customized monthly Department strategic focused metrics and communications. Independently prioritizes and schedules appointments for the Department Vice Chairs of Clinical, Anatomic and Academic Affairs. Establishes and maintains responsive administrative procedures and follows-up to ensure the timely, correct completion of office projects. Responsible for processing Vice Chair's business travel reimbursements. Assist the faculty members in arranging meetings, trouble-shooting issues, reimbursements and providing administrative support for staff engagements and events.


What It Takes to be Successful

Required:

  • Demonstrated ability to initiate improvements in operations based on independent analysis and problem-solving.
  • Experience providing administrative support including scheduling calendars and meetings, coordinating travel, prioritizing mail, screening telephone calls, and general office management.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, evaluate, analyze and present data in response to information needs.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize a workload with multiple deadlines, frequent interruptions, and changing priorities.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and needs and take necessary action to eliminate or mitigate potential negative effects.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, writing and implementing operational procedures.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated skill to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated command of the written and spoken English language.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years with BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience
