Responsibilities

Hanover Hill Behavioral Health, located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, will combine two leaders in health care, in the partnership of Universal Health Services & Lehigh Valley Health Network starting in late fall 2025. This brand new 144-bed free standing behavioral health facility will offer the community high-quality behavioral health care services for seniors, adults and adolescents.

Hanover is seeking an experienced Assistant Director, Admissions. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team while working in a state-of-the-art facility, including EPIC.

The Assistant Director, Admissions assists the Director of Admissions with the administrative oversight and direction of the hospital's Admissions/Intake Department. This position provides supervision to a staff of specialists in the provision of patient access to care and behavioral health assessment services, including call management, clinical evaluations for level of care, crisis intervention, admissions and referrals.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, or related field is required.
  • Three or more years' experience in Intake Assessment activities within a psychiatric facility with supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of hospital admissions functions, crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses symptomology, basic chemical dependency, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.
