Pediatric Sonographer Specialty Manager Job Responsibilities Develops, implements, and maintains clinical education programs for all modalities and all levels of staff to ensure that a high level of clinical expertise and customer service is demonstrated at all times. Serves as an ambassador of clinical knowledge/skillsets within and outside of the department to educate, inform, and guide others on clinical protocols, quality standards, and technology. Demonstrates a strong understanding of state and federal regulations to oversee quality management programs relating to optimal patient care and clinical effectiveness. Develops, implements, and monitors performance improvement initiatives to support optimal clinical outcomes and efficient administrative operations. Additional Qualifications: Certification - Basic Life Support Upon Start; American Registered Radiologic Technologists (AART) or ARDMS or CNT or CVT or NMTCB or RVT or CAMRT or NMTCB; as applicable with additional certification in an applicable imaging modality required; If no Bachelor's degree then Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) certificate within 24 months of hire/transfer. Licensure - Licensed Radiologic Technologist Upon Start State Licensure required for all INOVA non-Hospital Licensed centers, but not required if working onsite at an Inova Hospital. Experience - Five years of supervisory/leadership experience in radiology services in a hospital or healthcare-related setting. Education - Bachelor's degree in Business, Science or related Radiological Science field; or Associate degree or Graduate of an accredited school/program of Radiology or Nuclear Medicine with additional 4 year's experience* If no Bachelor's degree then CRA certificate within 24 months of hire/transfer.
