Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a dedicated Pediatric Sonographer Specialty Manager to join the team. This role will be Full-Time and will oversee both our inpatient and outpatient practices. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible.

Pediatric Sonographer Specialty Manager Job Responsibilities


  • Develops, implements, and maintains clinical education programs for all modalities and all levels of staff to ensure that a high level of clinical expertise and customer service is demonstrated at all times.
  • Serves as an ambassador of clinical knowledge/skillsets within and outside of the department to educate, inform, and guide others on clinical protocols, quality standards, and technology.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of state and federal regulations to oversee quality management programs relating to optimal patient care and clinical effectiveness.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors performance improvement initiatives to support optimal clinical outcomes and efficient administrative operations.


Additional Qualifications:



  • Certification - Basic Life Support Upon Start; American Registered Radiologic Technologists (AART) or ARDMS or CNT or CVT or NMTCB or RVT or CAMRT or NMTCB; as applicable with additional certification in an applicable imaging modality required; If no Bachelor's degree then Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) certificate within 24 months of hire/transfer.
  • Licensure - Licensed Radiologic Technologist Upon Start State Licensure required for all INOVA non-Hospital Licensed centers, but not required if working onsite at an Inova Hospital.
  • Experience - Five years of supervisory/leadership experience in radiology services in a hospital or healthcare-related setting.
  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Business, Science or related Radiological Science field; or Associate degree or Graduate of an accredited school/program of Radiology or Nuclear Medicine with additional 4 year's experience* If no Bachelor's degree then CRA certificate within 24 months of hire/transfer.
