Description

Position Summary

We're hiring two IT Support Specialists who will report to the IT Manager based in our Sarasota, FL office. One position will work at our Brooklyn Park, MN office, and the second position can be in Houston, TX, Cameron Park, CA, or Toa Baja/Caguas, Puerto Rico. The primary focus is to provide systems analysis, design, development, documentation, testing, and modification of computer systems or programs.

You will provide technical support for our employees and play a critical role in ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations. The IT Support Specialist is responsible for the application of systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications. This role also involves the design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing, and modification of computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based on and related to user or system design specifications.

You will be required to provide after-hours support, working a rotating shift schedule, to include nights, weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Analyze user needs and consult with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications.
  • Design, develop, document, analyze, create, test, and modify computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based on and related to user or system design specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues, including root cause analysis and implementation of long-term solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of system upgrades, enhancements, and new technology deployments.
  • Provide Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III technical support, including advanced problem-solving and systems analysis.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to design and implement process improvements and automation solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies, procedures, and security standards.



Required Qualifications



  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years technical knowledge of computer systems, software applications, and network technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in systems analysis, programming, or systems design.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of computer systems, software applications, and network technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Effective time management, task prioritization and strong initiative skills.
  • Strong customer-focused with a proactive, helpful and team-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with help desk operations or ticketing systems.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Advanced technical Certifications include CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Fundamentals/ 900 Series, Network+
  • Fluent in English and Spanish


Physical Requirements and Environment



  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, and balance in varying conditions.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have specific vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
