The Lead Completions Engineering Tech will be responsible for assisting the Completions Engineers and other Engineering Techs with all tasks performed by the group. This includes updating and maintaining information databases and gathering information from internal and external data sources. The position will be involved in the preparation of project information and presentations for management meetings and conferences. The Lead Tech requires an ability to work with cross-discipline groups and communicate needs and changes as appropriate.
  • Acts as a liaison between leadership and team to ensure everyone is on the same page with a smooth flow of information, assists in preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation ensuring leadership has the necessary tools to make informed decisions that support team and company goals, supports company culture, and stays flexible by adjusting to shifting priorities or unexpected changes, making sure the team stays productive and aligned with company goals even in dynamic environments.
  • Confirm accuracy of well, cost, and production data, take appropriate action on any changes, and communicate required corrections to the necessary parties
  • Assist in preparation for submission of presentations
  • Build reports with various data sources as requested by division
  • Collect, build reports and/or visuals, and analyze data
  • Understand data sources, workflow, and functionality of internal apps to provide support for others in the division
  • Initiates and develops more accurate and reliable data analyses and reporting methodologies
  • Liaison with internal teams (Headquarters, Investor Relations, Operations, Engineering, Accounting, Information Systems)
  • Responsible for crafting internal communication to convey a clear and concise message
  • Provides initial direction and continual communication to the division on objectives, expectations and timelines relating to projects, conferences, and presentations
  • Ensure regulatory requirements are met in states of operation (WY, ND)
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and appointments
  • Design and order apparel and other handouts


JOB REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years' experience in duties as described. Must have strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience in Access and ability to read or write SQL is a strong plus. Must possess good inter-personal skills and can work in a fast paced, multi-disciplined environment. Strong math skills highly preferred. High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Experience & Skills:
  • Proficient in well data software and data analysis tools (WellView, Aries, Spotfire, Power BI)
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in deadline-driven environment
  • Desire to improve and streamline processes and data quality department and organization
  • Basic understanding of oil and gas terminology and industry standards
Strong organization and time management, communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving, confidentiality and discretion, adaptability, data mining, building meaningful reports, relationship building, and project management.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
Min $76,000.00 / Max $128,000.00
