Overview
Our client, a globally recognized leader in the beauty and cosmetics industry, is seeking a Trade Marketing & Merchandising Project Coordinator to support retail activations and in-store programs. While beauty experience is a plus, the client is prioritizing candidates with strong project management and merchandising backgrounds, particularly from CPG, mass retail, or large consumer brands. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced retail environments, enjoys coordinating complex projects, and has hands-on experience executing merchandising programs at scale. You will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned retailer programs, overseeing timelines, visual merchandising initiatives, fixture rollouts, and point-of-sale activations from kickoff through performance tracking. What You'll Do
Retail Program & Project Management
- Manage end-to-end execution of retailer programs, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Develop and maintain detailed project timelines across multiple workstreams.
- Lead status meetings and provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including marketing, supply chain, creative, and vendors.
Visual Merchandising & In-Store Activations
- Oversee the development and execution of in-store displays, fixtures, and point-of-sale materials.
- Manage ordering and logistics for display components and custom fixtures.
- Support visual weeks, planogram updates, and retailer-specific activations.
- Handle retailer requests such as product linear updates and custom staging needs.
Operational & Analytical Support
- Create and manage pre-pack codes and merchandising order forms.
- Track performance of merchandising and POS activations, providing insights for optimization.
- Coordinate in-store video updates, including agency briefs, purchase orders, and installation.
- Ensure accuracy of copy and assets in artwork or merchandising management platforms.
Special Projects
- Support ad hoc retail initiatives and special projects as assigned by the trade marketing team.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Merchandising, or a related field.
- 2-3+ years of experience in merchandising, trade marketing, or retail project management.
- Experience with CPG, mass retail, or large consumer brands strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, fixtures, planograms, and in-store execution.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven.
