Position Summary
Lab manager position in pluripotent stem cell biology,
neuroscience and adrenal gland biology
The Zeltner Lab ( https://zeltnerlab.uga.edu) at the University of Georgia's Center for Molecular Medicine ( CMM) is seeking a creative, motivated, hard-working and enthusiastic Lab technician/Lab manager to support the overall operations of the lab supported by NIH/ NINDS/ NICHD. The Zeltner lab focuses on employing human pluripotent stem cells to model diseases of the peripheral nervous system and the adrenal gland. There are several multidisciplinary projects in stem cell biology, neuroscience, adrenal gland biology and human disease modeling run by seven PhD students/postdocs that need support. The successful candidate will directly be assisting the PI as well as each of the lab members in running the lab in multiple aspects.There are various career development opportunities available to the candidate, including a potential biotech start-up co-appointment.

  • Experience with cell culture and molecular biology techniques is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, exceptional work ethic and the ability to function within a highly interactive and interdisciplinary research community are essential.
