Overview

The Future Plant Studies (FPS) Program is Electric Boat's newest and most cutting edge submarine program and you can be part of the team that leads it! The FPS Program needs exceptional people to lead the program working on SSN(X) and IPMP IV propulsion plant concepts. The successful applicant should be a self-starter, who takes initiative and will drive issues to resolution.

Responsibilities of this position include the following:

    Developing and managing roadmaps, schedules, and budgets
  • Engaging directly with the engineering, finance, and purchasing teams
  • Defining standard technical products
  • Developing program processes and procedures
  • Determining and assessing current and future resource needs
  • Developing, managing, and reporting on program performance metrics
  • Developing and maintaining the propulsion plant planning estimate
  • Planning and coordinating propulsion plant cost reduction efforts
  • Coordinating vendor sub-contracting efforts across the program
  • Planning and coordinating customer and senior management interactions
  • Developing presentations for program reviews and executive engagements

Interfacing and facilitating communications with EB contracts, legal, and other



Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor degree
  • 0-6 years of project or program coordination experience
  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance

Preferred

  • B.S degree


Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office
  • Strong planning, organizational, and program management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to communicate across multiple customer, subcontractor and Electric Boat organizations.
  • Is a creative, proactive problem solver
  • Works well both independently and as part of multiple teams
