USESI, is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Solutions Specialist to join our team. This position will be located in our Cranbury, NJ location.



The Solutions Specialist plays a key role in expanding our value-added services by partnering with customers, contractors, and internal teams to deliver customized solutions. This role focuses on strategic planning, customer engagement, service growth, and technical and digital skills to support long-term business success.



Key Responsibilities



  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with contractors, manufacturers, and internal teams to expand Solutions opportunities.
  • Review construction documents to assess project scopes and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to grow our services and product offerings.
  • Communicate project updates, financial risks, profitability metrics, and action recommendations to leadership.
  • Deliver presentations to internal and customer decision-makers
  • Drive growth of value-added services such as prefabrication, wire solutions, e-commerce, and vendor-managed inventory.
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic business plans to expand service offerings.
  • Train and coach internal staff on value-added services to elevate service delivery.
  • Work with leadership to resolve channel conflicts and operational roadblocks.
  • Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer-focused marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and project records.
  • Monitor service performance and deliver reports to senior management.
  • Travel to customer sites, branches, and supplier facilities as needed to support strategic initiatives.



Skills and Qualifications



  • Familiarity with USESI's operational procedures.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and motivational abilities.
  • Ability to develop, organize, and execute strategic business plans.
  • Sales capabilities, including opportunity identification, presenting solutions, and closing deals. This can include large scale public speaking.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills; proactive and self-directed.
  • Experience in the electrical wholesale industry or a related field.
  • Familiarity with stocked electrical products
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • General proficiency with computer software and operational tools.
  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly.
