Purpose of Position
This position leads and operates in conjunction with the University Registrar to ensure successful fulfillment of the office's mission, oversight of the office's services & processes, and to keep the focus on student success. Technical operations and project management are the key responsibilities - both internal to the office and external to the entire campus and the community.

This position requires a high level of technical ability to run IT basis level jobs, produce business intelligence data outputs, productivity tracking within department and across campus, data quality edit reports, and troubleshoot technical problems in SAP. Must be experienced in multiple softwares, create system requirements for new or improved functionality, complete the testing of new or improved functionality in SAP and serve as the primary liaison between the Office of the University Registrar, IT , IR and College Administration. Directs the daily operation and work efforts of the registrar departmental staff .
Primary Responsibilities
| Leadership: Leads work efforts with staff to achieve departmental goals and budget. Ensures goals and policies are consistent with the priorities of the University. Determines and drives short and long range planning objectives for the office. Assists University Registrar in policy and process review to ensure consistency with University strategic goals, increase efficiency, enhance staff performance and improve the campus customer experience. Maps the business processes for the department to identify process improvements. Assesses the success of office objectives. Identifies new technologies , works with vendors and leverages technology solutions to support service to all campus customers. Participates in professional development to gain knowledge about registrar issues and student service delivery. Serves as liaison with departments of IT, Institutional Research, the ADeans and all advising across campus. Ensures compliance with all federal, state and university rules and regulations for enrollment, certification and residency of students.

| Supervision: Promotes the establishment of group standards and processes. Plays a key role in knowledge and skill sharing across campus. Oversees all daily operations. Serves as second in charge and technical contact for the department. Confirms all processes are properly documented and followed consistently via a master calendar of activities. Actively coaches, mentors, and provides guidance to departmental staff. Which includes appropriate orientation, training, professional development and support.

| Technical Oversight and Tasks: Possess a deep understanding of the business processes and the technology platform that enables it. Synthesize analyses across the campus units to plan and execute strategic, technical initiatives. Includes defining data and system requirements for enhancements and/or new functionality in SAP, Perceptive Content, Virutal Assistant, Microsoft Access, and Excel. Partners with technical and academic leaders to develop the roadmap for the future vision of service and keeping current with latest technology. Manages and ensures the team is working on the most impactful items. Oversees registrar services testing in SAP during and after new functionality implementation ongoing and through out the year. Provides support to business users and to the registrar team by assisting with day to day production activities. Included but not limited to uploading data files via FTP National Student Clearinghouse server; degree audit enhancements, graduation workflow, automating policy requests by students and advisors, chat bot and virtual assistant database enhancements, perceptive content workflow. Provides direction and support to the IT team in testing and implementing solutions. Directs the data quality efforts in the office which includes creation, review and approval of technical specification documents for IT development, creation of project requests for IT, and oversees departmental enhancement and service pack testing. Collaborates with campus partners on analysis, database analytics and SAP reporting. Reviews, maintains and reconciles the ERP system, the catalog deliverable and the department internet presence of the university offered programs. Architects the various dashboard outputs that measure registrar related activities (e.g. enrollment, customer service traffic). Provides technical support and assistance for campus wide SLCM security requests, SAP record repairs and data integrity. Runs basis level system jobs for grading procedures, manages workcenters for accurate workflow delivery and facilitates electronic delivery of data to third part vendors and the National Student Clearinghouse. Collaborates with campus colleagues on data validation, technical and reporting functions impacting student records

| Project Management: Tackles complex business problems using the tools of the University. Coordinates and excutes technical and process improvement projects in the office and across campus. Part of which is to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the process while creating change management through training and communication to end users and stakeholders. Effectively translates the requirements into common language that can be adopted for the use with behavior driven development and change management directives. Facilitates the acceptance by the registrar office and campus community to embrace new technologies to stay current with the student's use of mobile and other current devices. Continual measurement of process timeframe to improve the customer service turnaround for campus community

Qualifications
Degree in a related field area ( MIS, CIS, Higher Ed Administration, Business etc.)
Demonstrated technical skills required.
Extensive documented experience with a student information system in a college setting or university Registrar's Office or demonstrated technical skills with other types of integrated administrative software, along with project management successes.

Excellent communication and management skills, administrative systems implementation experience, strong analytical and organizational skills. Strong customer relations orientation. Knowledgeable of computer systems and experience producing ad hoc reports. Extremely detail-oriented, diplomatic with an ability to exercise discretion and maintain privacy, critical thinking skills, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, prepare and deliver professional presentations on short notice. Must have the ability to make accurate and deliberate decisions in an often high-volume and stressful environment. Must be highly computer literate with ability to use and understand electronic mail systems, an automated student information system and related web applications. Experience with SAP systems required.
Desire an individual with a thorough knowledge and understanding of university course curriculum, academic programs and various policies and procedures. High end user of MS Office products, SAP, Acalog, Curriculog, Perceptive Content, IVY Chat Bot Virtual Assistant, CMS, Website Design, texting and messing platforms and the National Student Clearinghouse. An extensive knowledge of general university information, registration, academic records, course information and information concerning all activities of the Office of the University Registrar.
