Summary Job Description: Job Summary Under limited supervision, the BMET Specialist installs, test, repairs, maintains, and calibrates clinical medical devices following established policies and procedures and according to manufacturer guidelines and recommendations. The BMET Specialist oversees projects away from the main hospital sites including, but not limited to surgery centers, urgent care centers, freestanding emergency departments (FSED) and BHMG clinics. The BMET Specialist is responsible for escalations for all of the offsite locations aforementioned and would serve as a mentor to other Biomed staff servicing them. The BMET Specialist complies and adheres to hospital and departmental policies and regulatory standards and guidelines. It is also the job of every associate at Baptist Health to work as a team to continuously improve the quality of service to our customers. Minimum requirements Associates degree in one of the following areas:
7 years of relevant experience required 6 years biomedical experience in lieu of Associate Degree Military Electronics / Military Biomedical Experience in lieu of Associate Degree Bachelors in Engineering can be substituted for 5 years work experience Masters Engineering Degree can be substituted for 6 years work experience Valid driver's license Work Experience Education If you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!
