What You'll Do

As an R&D Chemical Engineer Intern, you will gain pilot plant scale manufacturing experience while working with seasoned staff, scientists, engineers, and field personnel at Dyno Nobel's state-of-the-art pilot plant in Tooele, Utah. Primarily, you will assist in manufacturing ton-scale batches at near-production rates of emulsion with all the QC required. Dyno Duties will include:

  • Assist in product manufacturing at Dyno Nobel's brand new Pilot Plant.

  • Develop metrics for tracking product quality.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve plant process problems.

  • Maintain data summaries on process conditions to ensure maximum operating efficiencies.

  • Involvement with researching and design of projects.

  • Observe detonation testing experiments on products YOU produced!

  • Responsible for modification and improvement projects through all phases of design, equipment and material specifications, construction and inspection.

  • Junior level standing pursuing bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, or related field

About your internship

Duration: 10 - 12 weeks

Pay: $24.00 an hour

  • Gain hands on working experience to demonstrate your educational skills and gain industry knowledge.

  • Ability to collaborate and generate new ideas within the team
  • Provide chemical engineering knowledge in order to define your skill set
