*Data Center Technician* *Location:* Boydton, Virginia
*Schedule:* Thursday-Saturday, 7 AM-7 PM, plus every other Wednesday (12-hour shifts). This is an excellent opportunity to start on the ground floor and grow your career in one of the most dynamic and fast-paced environments in tech. *What You'll Do* * *Rack, Stack & Cable:* Install and manage server/network/rPDU devices with precision. * *Deployment Support:* Assist with rack/MOR cabling under supervision. * *Decommissioning:* Safely remove IT equipment following protocols. * *Audits & Inventory:* Perform physical audits and maintain accurate asset records. * *Repairs:* Conduct basic server repairs using documented procedures. * *Facility Maintenance:* Keep the data center organized by removing debris and empty boxes. * *Security & Compliance:* Shred hard drives and manage locked bins for secure disposal. * *Campus Support:* Audit and reorder drinks/stationary through CBRE/Staples. * *Rack Movement:* Physically assist in moving and racking equipment. *PPE Requirements* * *Hands:* Level 5 cut/abrasion/impact-resistant gloves * *Feet:* Hard-toe work boots covering the ankle, meeting ASTM F-2412 and ASTM F-2413 standards *What We're Looking For* * Experience with *cabling, punch-downs, terminations, rack and stack, and ticketing systems*. * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures. * A driven, motivated individual eager to learn and advance within the organization. *Top Skills* * Technician | Cabling | Rack & Stack | Terminations | Ticketing Systems | Data Center Operations *Experience Level* Intermediate - Ideal for candidates with hands-on technical experience who want to grow into advanced roles. *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Boydton, VA. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
