Tata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC, (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries. Position Summary **Note: International Assignment -Location Wales, UK. Duration of Assignment: 24 months.** The QA/QC Lead will own and drive the Quality Assurance and Quality Control framework across engineering, vendor supply chain, fabrication, and construction for Project Invictus. This position ensures that EPCM deliverables, vendor documentation, manufacturing quality and construction installation meet the required standards first time right. This role establishes a traceable, standards-driven QA/QC environment, ensures compliance with specifications, codes & project requirements, builds a strong inspection regime, and supports assured turnover into commissioning. Responsibilities Position Responsibilities & Accountabilities: Quality Assurance Across Project Lifecycle Develop and maintain the Project Quality Management Framework for EPCM scope. Review and approve QAPs/ITPs, Vendor Quality Plans, FAT/SAT protocols & stage inspection documents. Ensure discipline deliverables meet IFC quality requirements before release. Drive document quality - traceability, revision control and conformance. Lead quality audits for engineering deliverables & vendor documentation. Vendor Quality & Manufacturing Surveillance Build and maintain Vendor Data Requirements List (VDRL) and QAP compliance tracker. Plan and execute targeted inspections for critical packages. Review material certificates, weld maps, NDT reports, heat numbers and traceability records. Ensure FAT readiness, participate in critical FATs where necessary. Identify vendor NCRs and ensure timely closure with permanent corrective actions. Construction Quality Control & Site Assurance Establish construction QC framework aligned to TSUK site leadership. Develop ITP for site installation, fit-up, welding, alignment, levelling, grouting, painting & mechanical completion. Ensure inspection and test records are maintained in real time. Monitor field quality, workmanship & compliance with specifications. Drive punch closure discipline to support mechanical completion & system handover. NCR/CAPA & Continuous Quality Improvement Lead the NCR (Non-Conformance Report) management process. Identify recurring quality deviations and implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) programs. Drive preventive action culture across contractors and vendors. Promote lessons learned & continuous improvement throughout project phases. Completion, Turnover & Commissioning Quality Readiness Ensure as-built documentation, quality dossiers & inspection packs are progressively compiled. Support system handover documentation aligned to turnover strategy. Validate readiness for commissioning from a quality standpoint. Support pre-commissioning punch-out and final documentation close-out. Education Requirements Must Have: 25 years in QA/QC for EPC/EPCM heavy industrial projects. Experience in metals/steel, power, hydrocarbons, petrochemicals or similar sectors. Strong background in fabrication, welding, NDT, mechanical/electrical installation quality. Experience interfacing with OEMs and global vendors. Must have led QA/QC for brownfield integration & large shutdown tie-ins. Preferred: European/UK project experience is desirable. ISO 9001/ASME/AWS/EN standard familiarity. Previous role as Quality Lead or Senior QA Manager in mega projects. Behavioral Attributes: Detail-driven with zero-compromise attitude toward quality. Strong documentation discipline and traceability mindset. Firm yet collaborative when challenging non-compliance. Comfortable engaging vendor manufacturing shops & site execution teams. Capable of influencing contractors toward quality culture improvement. High bias for First Time-Right & zero rework ideology.
