Design and Construction Project Manager Job Locations

Overview MBP has exciting opportunities for project managers with experience in the design and construction of complex facilities that have a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving design and construction problems, determining program objectives and requirements, and organizing programs and projects. Experience in the federal, higher education, healthcare, or commercial industries desired. Experience in the delivery of data center and/or sensitive comparted information facilities (SCIF) strongly preferred. Responsibilities MAIN DUTIES:
Managing projects through design, construction, commissioning, and close-out to include coordinating work of various project entities (designer, contractor, owner personnel).
Qualifications EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE: B.S. in industry-related field preferred. Professional registration, other job relevant certifications such as CCM, CCE, or advanced specialized technical knowledge. Detailed knowledge of construction, principles of construction management, and project controls, with specialized knowledge in several areas, including scheduling, cost estimating, documentation, contract administration, and construction techniques. Knowledge of personnel and project management techniques, including budgeting, leadership, training, and business development. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Expertise with MBP's diverse services. Provides leadership and training to other team members. Direct client contact and client care. Operates at level of expert in one or more service areas with responsibility for final work product. * Capable of managing multiple assignments simultaneously. * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. * Ability to analyze and optimize internal and external processes. * Able to stand and sit as needed on project work sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions. * Ability to safely navigate construction work sites with uneven terrain. * Top Secret clearance preferred. * Must be a US Citizen. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: * Fingerprint-based criminal history background check, reference verification, and work history will be required prior to employment. GUIDANCE/RESPONSIBILITY: Generally able to work independently and determine solutions. Receives overall guidance on emphasis and approach. SUPERVISORY: Capable of supervising individuals and teams. Generally performs in a managerial role, coordinating and monitoring the efforts of the project design team and client stakeholders.
