JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The College of Health and Human Development/Unit of Recreation, Park and Tourism Management is seeking applicants for part-time learning assistants. Learning Assistants (LAs) are motivated undergraduate students who assist instructors and students in the teaching-learning enterprise. LAs are assigned to a particular course, and they work closely with instructors to provide challenging and meaningful learning experiences for enrolled students.

Job duties to include:

  • Assist with RPTM 330 teaching needs
  • Communicate effectively with supervising instructor, any additional teaching staff, and enrolled students
  • Prepare for specific teaching- and learning-related assignments
  • Help with in-class activities, group projects, specialized software, or virtual labs

Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:

  • Familiarity with RPTM 330

Schedule:

  • Variable - Talk with teacher in charge of course to determine work hours/needs

Compensation:

The starting rate for this job is $15/hr
