Reporting to the Assistant Director of Specialty Pharmacy, the Lead Clinical Coordinator is responsible for working collaboratively with the patient care team to promote the safe and effective use of medications and assists in the optimization of the specialty pharmacy clinical programs. Patient care is provided over the telephone and in person. Assists in the daily coordination, prioritization, and completion of clinical services for their respective service line(s). The Lead Clinical Coordinator acts as a resource to improve clinical efficiency, clinical quality, and patient safety. Assists in training and competency assessment of new and existing employees, as well as the development and revision of department policies and procedures. Assists with review of medication safety events, and providing back-up to the leadership team as needed. Provides education to patients, students, residents, pharmacists, and other health care practitioners. Supports and participates in the institutional mission of providing quality patient care, education, and research. Adept at problem solving/troubleshooting and managing priorities in a complex work environment.



Shift: Full-time, Days



Qualifications:


  • Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent 3 years of experience
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program preferred.
  • Licensed to practice in the state of Maryland required
  • Active CPR certification
  • Advanced certification in area of practice ( e.g. BCPS, BCACP, CSP, etc.) required within 2 years of start date.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program or three years of equivalent patient care


Salary Range: Minimum $54.59/hour - Maximum $90.15/hour. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
