The Clinical Research Coordinator is a health professional having a working knowledge of FDA/GCP/NIH guidelines, IRB policies and procedures, knowledge of data management activities, ability to coordinate clinical studies involving human subjects and a willingness to cooperate as a team member. Duties include preparing regulatory documents, coordinating clinical research projects, as well as assisting with recruitment and screening. This includes study start-up and close out procedures, assistance with financial aspects of clinical trials, preparing FDA documents, HIPAA compliance, and completions of source documents and CRFs. This position will serve as the first point of contact for radiology faculty, fellows, residents, clinical personnel, patients and staff within the department of Radiology and provide back-up support to the research work at ACC/Hospital. The incumbent must have the ability to communicate effectively.Occasional travel (between UC Davis Health and EMIC) as well as overtime will be required. Incumbent may be required to work at other UCD Health Sites, including the main hospital based on radiology demands.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- All departmental required training should be obtained within 90 days from the date of hire.
- All research personnel conducting human subjects research under the auspices of UC Davis must be certified via the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) program within 90 days from the date of hire.
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) or UC Davis Health CPR within 90 days from the date of hire.
- High school graduation or GED equivalent and/or equivalent experience/training.
- Previous experience in a clinical research setting/program required.
- Ability to understand and use scientific and medical terminology.
- Ability to review laboratory test results or consultation reports for error, omissions or inconsistencies.
- Knowledge of the university's policies and procedures related to research, human subjects, and clinical trials.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex agency policies and guidelines, protocol and research reports.
- Knowledge and ability to proficiently use a personal computer with Microsoft Word or WordPerfect, spreadsheet and database software experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, yet retain a teamwork attitude.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact in a helpful, effective and informative manner with a wide variety of people, using tact and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills including ability to independently prioritize and coordinate many work assignments in the most efficient manner and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to design and maintain an efficient filing and record keeping system.
- Ability to handle PHI and HIPAA confidential material.
- Thorough knowledge of English grammar and punctuation to compose and edit correspondence documents and reports, utilizing excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Excellent typing skills necessary for a variety of error-free letters/memoranda, documents, forms, etc.
- Ability to utilize dictation equipment, printers, copiers and fax machines.
- The incumbent must have the communication skills to convey factual information; to engage in collaborative problem-solving and negotiation with staff, patients and colleagues and serve as a role model, including demonstrating service excellence and upholding the university's Principles of Community when working with clinical and research subjects.
- Position requires working closely with caregivers and patients who may be ill, angry, confused, or emotionally distressed; position may require working occasional overtime as work demands and to travel to and from UCD Health and EMIC.
