Responsibilities
What You'll Do
Oversee and coordinate resident-centered nursing care on your assigned unit Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team Supervise, coach, evaluate, and support nursing staff performance Participate in hiring, onboarding, and corrective action processes as needed Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation, reporting, and care planning Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive unit environment for residents and staff Communicate effectively with physicians, families, leadership, and healthcare partners Attend leadership meetings and required in-service education Promote staff engagement by recognizing strong performance and encouraging professional growth Identify opportunities to improve quality of care, team satisfaction, and operational efficiency
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active New York State license Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role Experience or strong interest in geriatric nursing Current BLS/CPR certification Experience with dementia care preferred Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to lead with empathy, accountability, and professionalism This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
