CLINICAL ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - PSYCHIATRIST

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics is seeking a board-certified psychiatrist, Clinical (Non-Tenure) Track faculty member. The candidate will join a progressive and growing psychiatry division. The overall philosophy of this academic division is the provision of comprehensive patient-centered care in our inpatient settings, in a variety of unique subspecialty practice settings within our healthcare system.

Appointment will be on the non-tenure clinical track, assistant professor rank. The position is a 1.0 FTE and consists of 80% clinical time and 20% academic time. Clinical work for this position activities will include teaching and patient care within the Department of Psychiatry, including inpatient, consultation-liaison, and emergency psychiatry services.All members of the Psychiatry faculty group share weekday, weekend and holiday coverage of the inpatient and consult services. We will work closely with you to optimize your time in any preferred care settings.

These include studies in neuroimaging, genetics, epidemiology, psychopharmacology, neuropsychology, and basic neuroscience.
