DHA Overview

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a joint, integrated Combat Support Agency that enables the Army, Navy, and Air Force medical services to provide a medically ready force and a ready medical force to Combatant Commands during peacetime and wartime. Established to enhance the delivery of integrated, affordable, and high-quality health services, the DHA supports Military Health System (MHS) beneficiaries and drives the integration of clinical and business processes across the MHS. The agency plays a pivotal role in ensuring military personnel and their families receive comprehensive healthcare, thus maintaining operational readiness and overall force health protection.

Position Overview

Pantheon Data is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead a major task order supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in advancing enterprise innovation and technology integration across the Military Health System (MHS). This role requires managing multiple workstreams and cross-functional teams to drive the adoption of advanced technologies that improve healthcare delivery for providers and beneficiaries. The Senior Program Manager will oversee task order execution, deliver high-quality senior-level briefings and reports, and ensure all products and communications align with DHA's mission, standards, and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities



  • Provide direct support to DHA leadership by managing senior-level briefing reports, overseeing deliverables, operations, and ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with agency standards.
  • Lead and guide project teams, fostering collaboration, productivity, and alignment across multiple workstreams.
  • Manage and coordinate daily operations across cross-functional teams, driving efficiency and program success.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to integrate innovative technologies and solutions into DHA's healthcare enterprise.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of program and project goals with DHA's mission and priorities.
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and monitoring activities to ensure timely delivery of milestones and objectives.
  • Manage resources, budgets, schedules, and staffing across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with project execution and technology adoption.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and idea sharing across program teams.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD, federal, and DHA-specific regulations, policies, and security requirements.
  • Prepare and present reports, updates, and recommendations to senior DHA leadership and mission stakeholders.
  • Mentor, coach, and support program staff, encouraging professional development and growth.
  • Provide direct support to the Program client in managing senior-level briefing reports and overseeing all delivery products and materials ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to organizational standards.


Required Skills and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management, with a focus on technology integration and innovation.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience with federal acquisition and programming.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex projects with multiple workstreams.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems and technology.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification.
  • Experience working within the Department of Defense (DoD) or healthcare industry.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and the systems development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with technology innovation and implementation in healthcare settings.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, such as HIPAA and FDA guidelines.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends and advancements.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location: Remote - Falls Church, VA

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $220,000 - $240,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
