  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
  • Pay Rate: $40.86-$43.26 per hour
  • Employment Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time (40 hours/week)



About the Role

The Cutting Supervisor is responsible for maximizing production of high-quality parts while efficiently utilizing people, equipment, and processes. This hands-on leadership role oversees cutting operations across laser, punch, waterjet, and shear work centers, ensuring balanced workloads, equipment uptime, process adherence, and exceptional part quality. You'll lead by example, solve problems decisively, and provide valuable insight to management on operational improvements.

Daily Tasks & Responsibilities



  • Lead and supervise cutting operations across laser, punch, waterjet, and shear departments
  • Balance machine workloads and deploy personnel to maximize productivity and operator-free uptime
  • Monitor current, future, and past-due production loads and take proactive action
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, tooled, and operating at peak performance
  • Uphold and enforce quality standards; take ownership of part quality and on-time delivery
  • Identify productivity gaps, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions
  • Assist with machine operation as needed to support production goals
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support other departments during critical production needs
  • Escalate unresolved issues appropriately to ensure swift and effective resolution
  • Provide input to leadership on process improvements, equipment investments, and operational strategy



Requirements



  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience operating laser and punch equipment
  • Proven supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools such as calipers and height gages
  • Strong understanding of quality protocols and process compliance
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, improvement-driven mindset
